Upcoming Programs and Events

Can you “rise” to the occasion? Join our Pull-Up Competition between now and March 16th! See the front desk for full rules. When you are ready to make an attempt for your highest number, just ask a front desk employee to monitor and record your pull-ups. You may make 3 attempts during the month-long competition. The male and female winner will be announced on St. Patrick’s Day.
Join us for our first St. Patrick’s Day pool party! The kids will have a blast at the Shamrock Splash Bash. There will be a scavenger hunt, lots of fun pool games, and crafts. The children need to be comfortable swimmers and able to have their head above the water in the shallow end. If you loved our Pumpkins in the Pool, you won’t want to miss this event!

Don’t miss this year’s PLPOA Easter celebration! Play carnival style games, eat breakfast treats, get your photo with the Easter Bunny, and hunt for those eggs! Redeem tickets, found in the eggs, for prizes. While the carnival is for PLPOA members and their guests, the general public is invited to join “Photos by Griz” for paid photo sessions. Click the links below to register!
Join the Geri-Actives! This new recreation club is for seniors only. The Rec Center will organize a monthly meeting that will include a potluck dinner, a guest speaker, and some form of entertainment. Throughout the rest of the month, other organized activities can be planned, such as games nights, movie and theater outings, arts and crafts, and walks. This club is a great way for people ages 60+ to socialize and stay active.
Next Meeting: March 12th

The PLPOA Rec Center presents our first toddler fitness class… Mini Movers! This class is sure to be a fun way for the tots to burn off some energy and learn about various sports and forms of exercise. Drop-in each Thursday starting January 9th at 10:00 AM.
Parents or caregivers are required to stay in the class with the child and must have a Rec Center membership or punch pass. Non-PLPOA members may attend the class, however, they will need to purchase a punch pass or day pass to enter the building. Those passes only allow access to the class, no other facility amenities may be used.
